  • One of the world’s first 5G commercial networks will launch in Finland on January 1. For Finnish telecommunications companies like Nokia, the super-fast network means big business - and a chance to win back a spot at the top of the mobile communications industry. Nokia is using the ZTE 5G, another Chinese company. Their 5G is good but not as fast as Huawei's.

Let's be honest – both the US and China have long histories in spying (whether industrial or otherwise). If there's something that Finland can offer the world, it's trustworthiness. Finland is a small, well-educated country with a culture of authenticity and very little interest in undermining others. Its strong points are well-matched for this purpose.

@mukkaar Interesting, I have read more on it but it was a while ago so the legislation was worse at that time.

@xWood4000 I personally have mixed feelings about article 13 (Now 17). It's not as bad anymore as it was before and it was created to protect independent and small journalists/creators's content from big companies. Regulations on digital content and internet are outdated and these relatively old regulations favors one with most muscle. Also parodies, quotes, reviews etc. would be protected and are adresser under the article (and memes). Non-profits like github and wikipedia would be excempt and smaller...
