Rest of the world: You're building internment camps. That's not right.
China: I came here to have a good time and build my economy and I'm honestly feeling so attacked right now.
Rest of the world: Seriously, we can see you building it. Stop.
China: They're boarding schools, bruh. Chill.

Chinese government has an obsession about security. They're almost paranoid. They use some minor incidents as an excuse to be a surveillance state. Since 1950s they are relocating Han Chinese to Xinjiang to level the population ratio. When they realized this method wasn't effective enough, they invented these internment camps to assimilate Uighur identity. It's not just about religion.
Also they don't respect any religion or belief. Their only goal in this world is economic growth, and they don't care how they get it. They have no values of humanity. Being kind or merciful don't mean anything to them. They have no sense of justice. So they have no problem with treating human beings as animals.
There are 1 millions of people in those camps officially, which is 10% of the population. Most of them doesn't even have a criminal record.
